That’s what my dad said to me recently.
I wasn’t prepared for those words.
As the tears rolled down my cheeks, I felt a wave of emotion — love, gratitude, relief, and the quiet knowing that my work is truly making a difference.
If you read my post last year, you’ll know that my parents, Bryan and Maureen, have been married for 47 years.
They’ve always loved each other, but peace didn’t always live in their home.
For most of my life, arguments were a daily soundtrack. Raised voices, slamming doors, emotional distance… even in retirement, the cycle continued.
But something changed.
After one simple balance — with only my dad’s awareness and permission — things began to shift.
Habits started dissolving.
The emotional explosions stopped.
My mum even said, “It’s comical… I’m waiting for your father to blow up and he doesn’t. I sit there waiting and it just doesn’t happen!”
Now, close to 8 months later, my dad looks at me and says, “You saved our marriage.”
There’s still work to do – relationships are never “finished” but now, there’s more peace.
More laughter.
More connection.
And after 47 years, they can finally enjoy this next chapter of life together.
That moment reminded me why I do this work.
Because sometimes, one person doing the healing is enough to shift the entire dynamic.
If you’re stuck in conflict — with a partner, a parent, a child — please know: things can change.
And it doesn’t always take years of hard work or both parties being on board.
If you’re ready for more peace in your relationships… I’m here.
