Kinesiology, Mind Body Medicine & Coaching
Do you know something needs to change, but you’re not quite sure how to change it?
Maybe you understand what is happening logically, but your body, emotions or reactions seem to have other ideas.
You might keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns, feeling anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with confidence, experiencing ongoing stress or physical discomfort, or simply feeling like something is “off” and you can’t quite put your finger on why.
At Uniquely Healing, I look beyond just the symptom or the story.
Using kinesiology, mind-body approaches, emotional and energetic work and practical coaching, we explore what may be contributing to how you’re feeling and what your system needs to move forward.
The aim isn’t for me to tell you how to live your life.
It’s to help you better understand yourself, your patterns and your body’s responses, so you can make changes that feel right for you.
Areas I Support
People come to see me for many different reasons, including:
- Stress, anxiety and feeling overwhelmed
- Relationship patterns and emotional triggers
- Depression and low mood
- Confidence, self-worth and feeling stuck
- Chronic pain and physical tension
- Sleep difficulties
- Learning and concentration difficulties
- Neurological challenges
- Life changes, grief and heartbreak
- Emotional patterns that keep repeating
- Fertility and reproductive wellbeing support
- Feeling disconnected from yourself or unsure what you want next
You do not need to have a diagnosis or even completely understand what is wrong before booking.
Sometimes the starting point is simply:
“I don’t feel like myself.”
My Approach
One of the things I love about kinesiology is that we don’t have to rely entirely on consciously knowing the answer.
Sometimes you already know exactly why you react a certain way — but knowing hasn’t changed the reaction.
Other times there may be patterns, beliefs, stress responses or associations operating outside your conscious awareness.
Through conversation, muscle monitoring and a range of mind-body techniques, we can explore what your system is responding to and what may be keeping a particular pattern in place.
My approach follows a simple process:
Recognise
We start by understanding what is happening now — the pattern, feeling, physical response, behaviour or situation that brought you in.
Release & Rebalance
Using kinesiology and mind-body techniques, we explore the stress, emotions, beliefs or patterns connected with what you are experiencing and work to bring the system back toward balance.
Respond
Once some of that underlying stress has shifted, we explore what responding differently could look and feel like.
Relate
The changes you make internally influence how you relate — to yourself, your body, your relationships and the world around you.
The goal isn’t to become someone different.
It is to give you greater choice in how you respond.
Looking at the Mind and Body Together
Our physical body and emotional experiences don’t exist completely separately from one another.
Stress can influence muscle tension, breathing, sleep, digestion, energy, posture and the way we respond to situations.
Likewise, physical discomfort or ongoing health challenges can affect our emotions, behaviour and quality of life.
Kinesiology allows us to explore some of these connections rather than looking at an issue from only one perspective.
This doesn’t mean every physical condition is caused by an emotion, and kinesiology is not a replacement for appropriate medical care.
Instead, it can provide another way of exploring the stress patterns and mind-body responses that may be occurring alongside what you are experiencing.
How Kinesiology Can Complement Other Care
Uniquely Healing is designed to work alongside — rather than replace — medical, psychological, allied health or other complementary healthcare.
For example, someone experiencing chronic pain may already be working with their GP, physiotherapist, osteopath or other practitioner.
My role may be to explore the emotional stress, nervous-system responses, movement patterns, beliefs or behaviours occurring alongside that experience.
Someone experiencing anxiety or depression may already be receiving psychological or medical support. Kinesiology can offer another perspective by exploring the physical and emotional responses associated with stress and the patterns that may be contributing to how they feel.
Where something falls outside my scope of practice, I will always encourage you to seek support from the appropriate healthcare professional.
What Happens in a Session?
Sessions are conversational, collaborative and tailored to you.
We usually begin by talking about what has been happening and what you would like to change.
From there, I use muscle monitoring as a form of biofeedback to guide the session and identify areas of stress or imbalance that may be relevant.
Depending on what comes up, a session may draw on:
- Holistic kinesiology
- Mind Body Medicine
- Emotional stress techniques
- Acupressure and meridian-based techniques
- Nervous-system and stress regulation approaches
- Belief and behavioural pattern work
- Energy techniques
- Practical coaching and self-awareness strategies
You remain fully clothed throughout a kinesiology session, and the work is generally gentle.
Sessions are not about forcing an emotional breakthrough.
We work with what your system is ready to explore.
In-Person & Online Sessions
In-person kinesiology sessions are available in Brisbane.
I also work with clients online, particularly for emotional patterns, relationships, beliefs, stress and coaching.
Online sessions combine conversation, mind-body exploration, emotional pattern work and energetic techniques and are structured around the same principle as my face-to-face work:
Recognise what is happening.
Release and rebalance what is keeping it there.
Create the opportunity to respond differently.
